Normal is the New Normal

While starting this blog I wanted to share my thoughts as they were coming to me. I wanted to write about things that people are focusing on to be perfect in today’s time.
Starting from a perfect lifestyle, perfect bodies, perfect house, perfect wardrobe, etc. I too come from the same point where I want to have the best/perfect things in my life and I have even had a perfect work life which is affected by the COVID-19 pandemic suddenly and my then plans were affected but that doesn’t surely affect the person I am.
We often get lost in the herd. But hey! Are we all happy? Are we doing it right? Can we do it every day? and do we all make it there?
The common answer would be a “no” because we end up being frustrated with doing things daily, repeating & failing.

Mastering the Perfection

Being perfect is an everyday thing…be it maintaining weight, maintaining skin, maintaining the house but we loose our own self while doing all this..we stress ourselves.. we force ourselves.. we are in a continuous struggle to prove to the world we are the best/perfect and today through social media, we definitely invite a lot of baggage.
I see on social media, people are eating the best of food in the best hotels, having a zero size and wearing that backless dress, perfect skin with no acne, living that dream vacation on a Caribbean island..but we don’t know their struggle, all we know is they look happy in the pictures.
Manifesting a simple thought daily that can change is “I am happy, I am happy with my body, with my family, with my house”. Now that we know what to do, to begin with, let’s look a little deeper.

Is Picture Perfect?

Anyone we come across tells us a story we tend to believe in and we start to compare our life. That is where we are wrong. We have our own life which we have been blessed with and we need to do it in our way. So don’t lose focus. Stay focused on your happiness. I am very young to be telling you this, but trust me you’ll live the best life once you stop focusing on the best but living the best. The value of life is not in the pictures, it’s not in money, it’s not the quality of the house you live in but the quality of body you own, that is the most precious asset.
Don’t compete to get to the best, invest in yourself to get to the best, your mind & body.
So let that perfect food be a home-cooked meal, let that size 8 be a size 14 in a backless dress, let that acne-prone skin breathe, let a beach hut give you a peaceful night…because let that put a smile on your face.
And if you ever feel unhappy remember what you are grateful for.

Affirmations

I met my husband and things became more clear, he gave me the confidence of what I am today. I am a woman who doesn’t have a perfect body shape, hair, or skin but I am loved by my family & my own self. . Yes, I don’t have a perfect body, I don’t have perfect skin, I have hair/stretch marks on my body..but I am loved because isn’t this all normal in a human body? Do you see where I am coming from? I am coming from a perspective where you should choose what makes you happy. Let the right people love you the way you are, you don’t need to change yourself or please them. Let yourself grow mentally but also, by saying this, I don’t mean that you need to have a partner to depend on or you need an affirmation from a second person. All you need is your own affirmations. Allow yourself to start a normal life again. I see my elders telling me our old life was so good when there were no smartphones, and I never agree, its a necessity which has made our life simple in many ways..so why not let that be a simple gadget to guide us when we need? Let’s leave the addiction to be the best!

Loose yourself ..a little. take rest!

We see social media as goals.. and then we start to copy. I too see that and often share with my husband but do you know what I do, I do what is in our budget because I want to live a life of constant pleasure & debt-free. If you practice this without having your family telling you this, you’ll see a change in yourself, you’ll start loving them and yourself a little more.
I want this, I want that, but we don’t know what I really need? We are focusing so much on what I want.. than what I need. Hence, I need a good setup of life where I have everything in my budget and I have good quality food to feed my body which will produce good thoughts and which can influence someone to start fresh. We all have some people around us who we influence or mentor, so let’s be a good influence.

Dreams do come true

I’ll share a phase of my life here where I was a little depressed due to the circumstances in my life. My early life was very comfortable & easy, things were just going into the right direction, I did my schooling from one of the best schools (though I wasn’t the best student), I did my university from London(not the best university but the best memories) and things were just perfect but there came a change in life where I had to sacrifice on my wants, limit my wants to a level where I couldn’t afford a single meal out for 2 whole years,
and I remember my dad telling me don’t expand your wants so much that you struggle and yes, I was struggling to cope up and I got very upset until I came across the book “The Secret” and I started to apply that into my life and voila! I am back with the best life again and now surely I don’t want to end up in a tight situation ever.

Dream but live in reality

I often discuss this with my close ones, my dream is to do this- do that and to be honest, blogging was my dream which I never thought I’ll be doing but today I am, feed your body a good amount of positivity, love yourself, your family & do what makes you happy.
Manifest the great thoughts in your mind, plan your ways- but don’t compete!
A lot of you might say you live in London in the best setup but let me tell you..we are on a single salary from the past 6 months and after having survived well I have made up my mind to share, my husband and I have made our way up. My husband still makes his best efforts to provide me with everything, isn’t that a beautiful thing? I am so proud of what we are. A lot of you don’t know me but that doesn’t matter, what matters is I am happy, and I want you to be happy. Thereby, I look forward to starting a new journey together.
